Multi-Tier Examination Scheme & Syllabus Structure
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ - 400 Marks):
- Paper-I: General Studies-I (150 Questions | 200 Marks | 2 Hours): Current events of national and international importance, History of India, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Science, and UP Special Culture & Heritage.
- Paper-II: General Studies-II (CSAT) (100 Questions | 200 Marks | 2 Hours): Comprehension, Interpersonal skills, Logical reasoning, Analytical ability, Decision making, Basic numeracy (Class 10 level), General Hindi & English. (Qualifying Paper: Minimum 33% required).
- Negative Marking: One-third (0.33) penalty for incorrect responses.
2. Mains Written Examination (8 Descriptive Conventional Papers - 1,500 Marks):
- General Hindi: 150 Marks
- Essay: 150 Marks (3 Essays from Literature, Science/Tech, National/International Issues)
- General Studies Paper-I to IV: 200 Marks Each (Indian Heritage, History, Governance, Security, Ethics & Integrity)
- General Studies Paper-V & VI (UP Special): 200 Marks Each (Comprehensive Uttar Pradesh History, Geography, Economy, Governance, Architecture & Social Framework)
3. Personality Test / Interview:
