Compensation Package & Bank Officer Salary (Scale-I):
- Basic Pay: ₹36,000 (with 4 advance increments on joining).
- Pay Scale: ₹36,000 - 1490/7 - 46430 - 1740/2 - 49910 - 1990/7 - 63840.
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA ~48.5% of Basic), Special Allowance (16.4%), House Rent Allowance (HRA 7% to 9% or Bank Leased Accommodation up to ₹25,000/mo in Tier-1 cities), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Medical Aid, Newspaper Allowance, Petrol Reimbursement (45 to 55 Liters/mo).
- Gross Monthly Salary: ~₹68,500 – ₹74,500 / month.
- Net In-Hand Salary: ~₹62,800 – ₹67,200 / month (plus leased housing perks).
Examination Pattern & Selection Architecture
1. Preliminary Examination (Online CBT - 100 Questions / 100 Marks / 60 Minutes):
- English Language: 30 Questions | 30 Marks | 20 Minutes sectional timer.
- Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Questions | 35 Marks | 20 Minutes sectional timer.
- Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions | 35 Marks | 20 Minutes sectional timer.
- Sectional & Overall Cutoff: Candidates must clear both sectional and category aggregate cutoffs.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 Mark penalty per wrong answer.
2. Main Examination (Online CBT + Descriptive Writing - 225 Marks):
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: 45 Questions | 60 Marks | 60 Minutes
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness: 40 Questions | 40 Marks | 35 Minutes
- English Language: 35 Questions | 40 Marks | 40 Minutes
- Data Analysis & Interpretation: 35 Questions | 60 Marks | 45 Minutes
- Descriptive English (Letter & Essay Writing): 2 Questions | 25 Marks | 30 Minutes
3. Common Interview (100 Marks):
- Conducted jointly by participating banks and nodal centers. Minimum qualifying mark: 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
- Final Combined Weightage Ratio: 80:20 (Mains Score : Interview Score).
